    3. Gearbox:
      • The use of a gearbox on the Push-E Cat is not generally recommended. This is not to say that it is not possible. Several customers have successfully utilized gearboxes on their Push-E Cats, and we have also successfully built and flown a gearbox equipped Push-E. However, our own experiment led us to conclude that, due to prop size limitations of the pusher configuration, the increase in efficiency is not sufficient to offset the increase in weight to any significantly profitable degree.
      • That having been said, we are more than happy to assist anyone who wants to gear their Push-E Cat. The best combo seems to be about a 1.7:1 reduction on a 6V motor with 8 cells swinging a Graupner 9x5 Slim prop.
